Congratulations to the 2021 3M PSD OHS Scholarship Winners!

This year the Personal Safety Division at 3M decided to award five scholarships, instead of four, in the amount of $5,000 each to the following outstanding students who are pursuing an education in a graduate occupational health and safety/industrial hygiene program at universities in the United States.

Congratulations to the 2021 winners:

Clark Adams – Murray State University

Joshua Becker – Capitol Technology University

Michael Doyle – Montana Technological University

Kayna Hobbs-Murphy – Colorado State University

Puleng Moshele – University of Minnesota

This program, now in its 35th year, strives to recognize the brightest future talent through this annual award. Candidates were evaluated based on academic achievement, related work experience, and professional goals. Scholarship awardees were chosen by a selection committee comprised of 3M occupational health and safety professionals. The graduate students selected are being honored for their high level of academic achievement, contributions to the profession, and intent to pursue careers in the discipline of Occupational Health and Safety.

In addition to these scholarships, 3M PSD provided each awardee with registration to this year’s virtual American Industrial Hygiene Association Conference and Exposition (AIHce EXP) that was held May 24-26, 2021. This national expo and conference is a great educational opportunity to learn about a wide variety of topics in the field.

“This scholarship program signifies our support of quality education and training in the occupational health and safety/industrial hygiene profession. Every year we look forward to all of the excellent applications we receive, and even if you did not win this year, we commend you on your outstanding academic achievements and commitment to helping advance proper safety and health practices and training in the workplace. Thank you to everyone who applied and we look forward to continuing this program.”
